Listserv is a third-party software application developed by L-Soft corporation. Their official manuals can be downloaded on the L-Soft website.
How can list owners see a list of subscribers?
Log in to the KSU ListServ and select your list
Click List Management, Subscriber Reports
The total number of subscribers and a list of those subscribed will be displayed.
How can list owners add subscribers to their list(s)?
Log in to the KSU ListServ and select your list
Click List Management, Subscriber Management
Enter the subscriber's "email address First Last" name as show in the example below the blank field.
Choose whether to Send Email Notification or not and click Add Subscriber button.
The total number of subscribers and a list of those subscribed will display on the screen.
How can list owners add subscribers to their list(s) by email?
List owners can add users/subscribers to their list(s) by email instead of using the Web interface. Ensure you use the same email address that you, the list owner, use to log into ListServ via the web log in screen.
In Outlook or your email application, create a new email message.
In the To: field, enter <your_list_name>@list.kennesaw.edu
Note that the subject is ignored. Also, enter the command in the body section and substitute with your actual list name and user's email, firstname and last name. Ensure there are spaces between each.
You, the list owner, will receive an email confirmation that the subscriber has been added to the list.
How can list owners send message(s) to their list subscribers?
There are two methods for sending a message to the list subscribers; however, only those allowed posting privileges will be accepted by the server.
Complete the empty fields, enter your message and click Send Message

In Outlook or your email application, create a new email message.
In the "To" field enter the name of your list (example: my-list@list.kennesaw.edu)
Enter a subject and write a message to be sent.
Send the email which will be sent to all subscribers in your list individually.
How can users subscribe to a list?
If the list owner allows for users to submit subscription requests, then users can submit their request to be added by email in the following manner:
Compose a new email, and in the TO field, enter the following:
<LISTNAME>-SUBSCRIBE-REQUEST@list.kennesaw.edu
where <LISTNAME> is the actual name of the list.
Anything in the email body section will be ignored by the list server. Also, you should receive a response from the list server indicating that your request has been received and forwarded to the list owner for approval. Once approved, you will receive an email confirmation that you've been added to the list.
How can list owners remove subscribers from lists?
If you are the owner of a listserv, you have the ability to remove subscribers from a closed list, or one that requires permission to subscribe.
Log in to the KSU ListServ and select your list
Click List Management, Subscriber Reports
Select the subscribers you wish to remove from the list
